Classfare contributor Danielle Lee makes a case for this season’s most enviable color.

One of our favorite colors this season is green, and by its appearance in a variety of shades at Spring/Summer 2015 men’s shows and Fall Collections alike, designers of all stripes seem to agree. Parisian brand Carven showed dark greens in form fitting shirts paired with muted navys and browns, while Italian designer Giorgio Armani used shades of emerald paired with printed sweaters and green-gray tones in several jackets and vests. The color has already trickled down into ready-to-wear brands and is showing up in all shades and styles.

Particularly notable is the fact that, because it’s earthy and neutral, green goes with just about anything — but it’s also much more interesting than layering yet another shade of gray or beige. We’ve put together an everyday ensemble of the shade in a casual look that can transition from cooler end-of-summer nights to rainy fall days.

Whether you go tonal in all-green-monotone or simply add a single item to your look, each one of these pieces will add value and style to your wardrobe.

M5 Low Rise Slim, by 3×1
Start with 3×1’s M5 Low Rise Slim in Earth, made with a soft selvedge denim from Kurabo Japan. The fabric and fit of this denim and style look great on most body types and in this color can be dressed up or down.

Oxford Shirt, by Farah
Next we went with a slim fit Oxford from Farah. Farah is an American heritage brand that began selling chambray shirts for $0.35 in 1910. Their classic approach to style hasn’t had to evolve much, especially with a classic button up like the one featured here.

Barron Slip-on, by Vince
Selecting the right footwear in the awkward in-between season phase can be a challenge even for a casual look like this. Included here is the Barron Slip-on from Vince. A higher price point slip-on than Vans, this version comes in a sport suede that will hold you over until it’s time for boots.

3 ATM Watch, by Steven Alan and Modern Snap Backback, by Everlane
These are two key accessories that will carry your things and keep you on time. The 3 ATM watch in a green suede with a gold case from Steven Alan and the Modern Snap Backpack from Everlane. Steven Alan timepieces have a 21 jewel automatic movement with detailed construction and durability. They’re stylish and substantial enough to make a statement without overpowering your wrist or outfit. Everlane’s cotton backpack with leather details and padded interior laptop compartment is also water resistant with pockets for all of your essentials.

The Long Jacket, by Rains
The star of the outfit is the Long Jacket in Green by Rains. The lightweight fabric and ventilation under the back shield ensure that not only does it look good, it’s comfortable and will fold up and fit nicely in the Everlane backpack.
