Neutrals
When worn with confidence, neutrals are a man’s sartorial best friend. The earth tones of brown, white, black, olive, and grey reflect a luxurious restraint that keep you from looking like you tried too hard. And that’s another benefit: you really don’t have to. Whether you’re in a hurry, at a loss for what to pair with that orange and pink pocket square, neutrals are almost impossible to clash.
Wanting to try out a new fit or style but not sure if you can pull it off? Experiment with it in a neutral shade that won’t scream “I’m new here!” And better yet, because they’re not attention grabbing, your coworkers won’t notice if you wear that same shirt every week.

The trick to not getting too monotone (unless you’re a fan of the all-black-everything ninja look) is to simply vary textures and level of contrast. If you go high contrast with black pants and white shoes, complement with low contrast pieces like gray and beige or olive.
Not convinced? Let up and coming musician Jordan Humphrey convince you otherwise. Whether you’re channeling your inner rockstar in a black leather moto jacket or kicking back in joggers with SoCal swagger, Jordan proves that neutrals are anything but boring.
